Contour Glucometer vocabulary
Vocabulary to learn to instruct a diabetic patient in how to use a Contour glucometer:
glucometer - test -
test strip - display window -
batteries - sample tip -
gray electrode end - memory button -
Hold the test strip with the gray end facing up -
Insert the grey end of the test strip into the test strip port -
The meter will turn on automatically -
A flashing blood drop will let you know the meter is ready to test -
Obtain the blood drop -
Immedicately touch the tip of the test strip to the drop of blood -
The blood is pulled into the test strip through the tip -
Hold it in the blood drop until the meter beeps -
Your result is displayed after a five second countdown -
